青い魅力
母がこの間あそこにクサギがたくさんあるのを見たから取りに行こうというので、少し雨が降っていたのだが二人で高枝バサミを持って山の方へ行ってみた。
そのクサギの実で青色が染まるというのだ。
そんなステキなことはないと、私も乗り気で向かったのだが、なによりクサギは臭い。。。そして採取した枝に一緒に着いて来たのかカメムシがいっぱいいる。（彼らの名前はクサギカメムシというらしい）しかし、カメムシどころか様々な虫が出てくる。。。
少し嫌になる。
摘んだ実の色は 紺色やまだ若い青緑色など様々
染め始めると、本当にきれいな青色が出てきた。
青というより青緑色のように見えた。
化学染料でこんな青緑色を出したかったとき、とても難しくて苦労をしたのを覚えている。
でもこれは、自然から得た青色。 藍ほど濃い青ではないにしても、こんな色が染められるなんて！不思議で何度も見入ってしまう。
こんな色が染まるなら・・・とあの実を取る苦労も忘れてまたクサギを取りにいかなくてはと思うのだった。

I believed that I could dye blue color only with Japanese indigo; ‘ ai ‘.
One day my mother aked me if I want to follow her to go to get some plants to dye blue. That plant is called ‘ kusagi’. It means stinky tree. (about this plants http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clerodendrum_trichotomum) I was excited to get blue color and we went to the mountain area to get them.
They were so stinky and also they got many insects which smell bad. It was quite a lot of work to get those small berries with many disgusting insects.
Once I started to boil them, I was excited again. It was blue color and even like turquoise blue! When I wanted to dye those kind of color with chemical, it was difficult to get, so that I felt strange that those color came from nature.
I loved those amazing color and All the hard work to get them become no matter.
